Rashanda Freeman is a seasoned community advocate and storyteller with over a decade of experience advancing justice, equity, and narrative change. Rooted in a commitment to liberation, Rashanda has worked across movements to center historically excluded voices, leveraging storytelling as a powerful tool to shift narratives and dismantle systems of oppression. Her work spans community-based philanthropy, racial and economic justice initiatives, and transformative communications strategies that honor lived experiences.

With a passion to support BIPOC communities, Rashanda recognizes that equitable access to nourishing food is fundamental to thriving communities. Rashanda is honored to contribute her skills in strategic storytelling and community-centered leadership to initiatives that advance just food systems and broader social transformation.

In her full-time role at the Growing Justice Fund she oversees communications to enhance the Fund’s capacity to share impactful stories, support stakeholders, and build strong internal and external relationships.
